Moosomin First Nation Education Council Inc., with the full support of Chief and Council, is making a direct investment in our community and in education. Our current cohort, now in its first year, will remain in the community for the next 3 years (4 in total). The 2025 agreement is designed to develop outstanding teachers who will serve both our community and others. All successful students will earn a Bachelor of Education degree. The Indian Teacher Education Program (ITEP) has provided Community Based Programs since 1973. With more than 50 years of experience, ITEP has been a leader in First Nation community-based teacher education. If you are interested in working with youth, we encourage you to consider our school as an Educational Assistant. Many of our cohort students are former school employees who discovered their passion for working with youth in our community.
